2024 in Review
In 2024, I recorded 47 new episodes, which brings me up to a total of 595 episodes. As I began the podcast in November 2010, that equates to 170 months and means that I have averaged 3.5 episodes per month. If I were to add in my two other podcasts (35 episodes for The Joy of Padel and 159 for the Minter Dialogue en français), the total goes up to 4.6 shows per month. I’m internally shaking my head at myself as I mull over these figures.
Perplexed?
I asked Perplexity to find some patterns and conclusions based on the top episodes in terms of listens/downloads/views. In terms of the profiles of my guests, they are “a diverse mix of thought leaders”, notably business executives and CEOs, academic experts and professors, authors and speakers, and artists and filmmakers. Seems like a very accurate recap. And in conclusion, here is what Perplexity wrote verbatim:
“Unique Perspective: The podcast appears to blend practical business insights with deeper philosophical and psychological concepts, creating a unique intersection between professional development and personal growth.”

A few things struck me about the top 12 list. What about you?
- 12 men. Yeah, and mostly white at that. Oh dear. Well, that’s not exactly a fair representation. I did try to get more women on my show, but I only managed to get 10 in the end, for the 47 episodes. I certainly also tried to get more diversity. If you read the full list of guests for 2024, at least the names and faces show a broader swath of the world.
- There is wide variety among the guests in terms of backgrounds and profiles: 3 doctors (including PhD), two sports figures, and 7 authors.
- And I’m generally stumped to know why certain guests get more downloads than others!

As I embark on my 15th year in podcasting, I will continue to seek out a wide range of interesting perspectives and personalities. Over the last few years, I’ve been adjusting my focus more toward deeper conversations on leadership, purpose and life. I typically seek out authors of recently published books, but not only! While I underline that I very rarely take unsolicited guests, if you have a fabulous person you think I should have on, please send me a personal note here.
