Sort of hard to believe that neither Japan nor Canada were able to notch a RWC victory. Coming away with a 12-12 draw could hardly be rewarding for either side, although the Japanese were ecstatic to pull even with a dramatic extra-time score and conversion. The Canadians thus end their record of always winning one match at the World Cup. And the Japanese do not snap their 13-game winless streak. Hopefully, the players got some good claret after the game (in Bordeaux). This was only the second draw in the history of the IRB RWC, 20 years after France shared the spoils 20-20 with Scotland at the tournament held in NZ/Australia. Good to see 20/20, no?
