Stanford University is now offering a course in how to use Facebook… specifically on “application deployment.” Stanford Course. Got to love that spunk (way to snake the fame from Harvard, from whence came the founders)! How quick are business schools getting up to speed?
Stanford is clearly paving the way in terms of “getting” new media. A recent competition by Google (Earth 3-D) was won by a Stanford team.
Here is the Facebook Group on the Stanford course. And here is a great “history” (kind of all you need to know) of Facebook.
I found the idea of an educational use truly compelling and offered my thoughts at:

If there is one carrot for students it is relevance. Could there be any greater motivational tool than to ask students to take a cutting edge, pop culture idea and give it their own touch?
And does anyone know of any other schools offering similar cutting edge courses?
