Getting connected with Information Technology
I have been invited to attend Orange Business’ Live Munich ’11 event next week. One of the key topics on the docket at the conference — a topic about which I have not been shy about speaking — is the need to link IT (upstream) with the operational business. With the explosion of new media tools, the exponential multiplication of communication via video, as well as the need for greater transparency and rapidity, IT is surely going to occupy a super strategic space in board rooms and executive committees.
Connecting IT with Business
One of my big questions that I will be looking out for: how will people in IT be found, recruited, trained and “groomed” to take on ever bigger responsibilities within organizations? I will be looking forward to talking with the participants at the conference.
